How to Install JDK 1.6 update 32 on ubuntu-12-04
Currently Oracle prohibit
the community from adding java to the linux repositories. So it needed to be
manually download from oracle website and installed.
Java can be downloaded from:
From: http://www.devsniper.com/ubuntu-12-04-install-sun-jdk-6-7/
Steps to install java:
1.) Make the bin file executable:

jdk-6u32-linux-x64.bin
|
2.) Extract the bin file:

./jdk-6u32-linux-x64.bin
|
3.) Move extracted folder:

sudo mv
jdk1.6.0_32 /usr/lib/jvm/
|
4.) Install new java source
in system:

update-alternatives --install /usr/bin/javac javac
/usr/lib/jvm/jdk1.6.0_32/bin/javac 1
sudo
update-alternatives --install /usr/bin/java java
/usr/lib/jvm/jdk1.6.0_32/bin/java 1

update-alternatives --install /usr/bin/javaws javaws
/usr/lib/jvm/jdk1.6.0_32/bin/javaws 1

5.) Choose default java:

version test:

6.) Verify the symlinks all
point to the new java location:

ls -la
